Snorkeling on the west coast of Hawaii is a must-do activity for any visitor. The clear waters and abundant marine life make it a world-class destination for snorkeling.  If you know to swim, you can snorkel.  The island is home to some of the most diverse and beautiful coral reefs in the world, and there are countless opportunities to explore them underwater.

There are many different snorkeling spots to choose from, each with its own unique offerings. Some of the most popular spots include:

  • Kealakekua Bay: This is first on the list for a reason.  Sea Paradise and their friendly and informative crew will take you this wonderful snorkeling spot on the beautiful, new 50 foot catamaran, the Hoku Nui. This bay is home to a variety of marine life, including manta rays, sea turtles, and dolphins.
  • Kahalu’u Beach Park: This beach is known for its calm waters and abundant coral reefs.
  • Hapuna Beach State Park: This park has a long stretch of sandy beach and is a great place to snorkel for beginners.
