Whale Migration to Hawaii

Join our excellent crew on the luxurious 50-foot catamaran, the Hoku Nui, to sail out for an award-winning snorkel or manta ray tour.  This is an experience you won’t want to miss while visiting the island of Hawaii!

During the winter season, you may get to see a whale as you sail out to your snorkel destination.  The peak whale migration season explodes with activity from January to March.  During this prime window, thousands of whales migrate from Alaska to Hawaii’s warm waters to breed, calve, and nurse their young. Imagine the thrill of witnessing “whale soup” in February, where majestic breaches and playful tail slaps paint the ocean with an unforgettable spectacle! Although sightings taper off by April, you still have a good chance to witness these giants until mid-month. Remember, while December offers decent sightings, it’s not the peak, so factor in slightly lower whale activity if aiming for this month. No matter the specific month you choose within this magical season, get ready for an awe-inspiring experience as you connect with these magnificent creatures in their island haven.
