Keauhou Bay is in front of the Outrigger Hotel and Spa in North Kona and a popular spot to view manta rays. The name translated from Hawaiian means “The New Era” and was a popular retreat for Hawaiian Royalty. Manta Rays are in the shark family along with Sting Rays but are harmless to humans.
