Manta Heaven is a manta ray viewing site located offshore near the runway of Kona International Airport on the Big Island of Hawaii, roughly a 30 to 45 minute boat ride each direction from Honokohau Harbor. One of three named manta viewing sites on the Kona Coast—alongside Manta Village near Keauhou that has a 5 minute boat ride and Manta Point on the Kohala Coast which is not widely visited—Manta Heaven is known for its depth and for attracting mantas in different ocean conditions than the shallower-water feeding at Manta Village.
Manta Heaven sits in open water off the Kona International Airport (KOA) flight path and is only accessible by boat.
The site is deeper than Manta Village, typically ranging from 40 to 60 feet, which creates a different manta viewing dynamic. Manta rays at Manta Heaven often perform the same graceful spiraling feeding loops seen at Manta Village, but deeper water making it a better location for scuba divers and their air tanks.
This site is recommended for scuba divers and also guests that prefer a longer boat ride to and from the snorkel site at night.

Manta Heaven provides a deeper-water alternative that is better suited for scuba divers with their air tanks.
Manta Heaven is accessible only by boat. It is not reachable by shore, kayak, or swimming from any public access point.
